Sea rowing

Sea rowing is the latest of the rowing disciplines to be incorporated into the discipline of rowing. It is a boat with a movable bench designed to sail in the open sea. Its good stability makes it perfect for all levels. Its great acceptance in the rowing world has caused it to become an Olympic discipline by 2028. There are single, double and four-man sea rowing boats with a coxswain. There are also two competition modalities, long distance between 3000 and 6000 metres, or beach sprint, a very explosive 500 metres with a 30-metre race from the sand.

Olympic Rowing

The discipline of Olympic rowing combines endurance and technique. Its characteristics include stability work, flexibility and benefits in muscle development, improved cardiovascular capacity, as well as the promotion of teamwork. It is an activity that can be enjoyed in natural environments, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

The boats used by the club are single and double, and are usually used for school and competition in the basic categories (alevín, infantil, cadet and juvenile). Their races are on tracks between 500 and 2000 meters, although there are also long distance championships. The main difference with sea rowing is that Olympic rowing requires a sheet of calm water, without waves, due to its instability.
